This series of paintings is especially important to me, it’s another series that was created after a 6-week architecture bootcamp, but this time at Parsons School of Design. It also marked the departure from my previous career in branding and graphic design, where straight lines, right-angles and meticulously considered text and typography played are very large role.
Painting was a very different kind of creative challenge compared to graphic design. Creating these works I soon came to treasure the freedom of the paint brush – an artistic freedom but still within the confines of the canvas. These paintings are among my largest works, ranging in size from 48" x 48" to 36" x 72" and are all acrylic on canvas
